A “see-and-act” digital twin spray unit, on top of a “see-and-act” digital twin mobile power unit, makes for a fully autonomous (in operation) sprayer. 8 cameras, 24 nozzels, 40 foot = 12 m boom, 20 inch = 50 cm spacings. Solar powered. The usual large reduction in pesticide use that comes with see-and-spray systems. There is a lot to like about this unit. At a starting price of 50 000 USD, it doesn’t even seem that expensive. That said, it is not known how big of an area this unit can service, the support time needed (filling, moving, etc), nor the lifespan of it.

Solix doesn’t yet seem available in Sweden (or even Europe), but it’s another example (like Swamfarm) of fully autonomous (in operation) spraying that seems likely to be omnipresent in the near future.

The interesting thing about Solinftec is not that they are based in Brazil, but the founders are Cuban. Maybe that is not so uncommon, but it is not something one hears too often.

Digitalised decision making components: Fully autonomous: Sense, Manage, Analyse, Report, React.
