A rough summary: a pretty standard irrigation system on an autonomous mobil power unit.

This unit moves itself around using GNSS RTK guidence and the power of water. It has an electrical drive train, a 3 hour battery capacity, and recharding from the flow of water through the piping. There is an irrigation boom mounted on the unit, with multiple sprinkler heads sitting just above the crop. The reel also sits on the unit: this means that there is a bit more weight moving through the field, but it’s hard to see how else this system could be automated. It’s not clear if the reel pipe connects to different points on the fixed piping system, but by keeping the reel pipe out to the side of the unit and pivoting around this at the end of a run, the coverage per pipe outlay is twice the boom width.
